港龍高雄-香港商務艙(Dragonair Business Class: Kaohsiung-Hong Kong)

因為工作的關係,這次的出國行程選擇了高雄出發台北回的行程,也讓我終於有機會體驗一下小港機場,還有港龍航空的商務艙。

Due to work plans I chose to depart from Kaohsiung and return to Taipei for my trip this time, which gave me an opportunity to finally check out Kaohsiung Airport, and experience Dragonair's business class service.

高雄機場有捷運直達,交通上相當方便。

Kaohsiung Airport is connected to the KRT (Kaohsiung's subway system), making it very easy to reach.

到達機場之後就立刻到櫃檯報到。沒想到隊伍還滿長的,就連商務艙的櫃檯都需要排隊。馬可孛羅會員還有經濟艙的隊伍則更長了。

I made my way to the Dragonair check-in counters after arriving at the airport, and found lines at all of them, even the business class counter. The lines for Marco Polo Club and economy class were both very long.

還好因為進出高雄的航班不多,之後的安檢跟通關都還算快速,沒多久就到了管制區內。高雄機場雖然小,設施相對也不是很豐富,但我還滿喜歡整個機場的設計跟裝潢。至少挑高的天花板,就比桃園機場舒服得多。

Luckily security and passport control didn't take long as there weren't that many flights departing Kaohsiung, so I was airside shortly. Kaohsiung Airport was quite small, and didn't have many amenities, but I really adored the decor and overall design of the airport. That fact that it had high ceilings already made it much more airy and comfortable than Taipei Taoyuan Airport.

跟著標示,很快地就找到了港龍航空的貴賓室。

I followed the signs and made it to the Dragonair Lounge shortly.

這時候貴賓室還沒什麼人,可以讓我到處拍照。

The lounge was deserted at the time, allowing me to take as many pictures as I wish.

港龍航空貴賓室其實不大,後來接近航班起飛時間時就確實有些擁擠。傢俱的擺設上也稍嫌單調了些。

The Dragonair Lounge at Kaohsiung Airport was quite small, and got a little crowded as we got close to departure time. The furniture in the lounge was also very dull, I must say.

除了一般的座位之外,貴賓室的角落有兩台電腦可供使用。

還有算是豐富的書報櫃,但也就沒什麼其他設施了。貴賓室內的電源插座也很有限,總之不是個硬體設備特別好的貴賓室。

And there were a wide range of reading materials, but that was about it in terms of amenities. Power outlets were limited in the lounge as well. It just wasn't a lounge with what I'd call good hard product.

貴賓室內的食物選擇也是有些讓人失望,只有一些簡單的冷食跟飲料而已。

Buffet offerings in the lounge was also quite disappointing, with only a small selection of cold options and drinks.

還好除了自助餐點之外,還可以跟服務人員加點肉燥飯,而且味道還不錯!吃完之後當然二話不說立刻點了第二碗。

So I was very pleased to find out that I could order some minced pork rice, and they weren't bad at all. I immediately finished one and asked for a second.

總結來說,高雄的港龍航空貴賓室比起國泰在台北香港的貴賓室,都是差得相當遠的。如果未來還有從高雄出發的行程,我不會為了貴賓室特地提早到機場,把它當作登機前簡短消磨時間的地方就好。

All in all, the Dragonair Lounge in Kaohsiung certainly couldn't compare to Cathay Pacific's lounge in Taipei or Hong Kong. It was suitable for killing some time before boarding, but no much else. If my future travels brought me to Kaohsiung again, I wouldn't go to the airport early just to experience the lounge.

本來其實相當期待體驗一下港龍航空商務艙的,沒想到我的航班臨時被換成了國泰航空的A330執飛,還是難得的長程商務艙。雖然在硬體享受上大大升級(畢竟國泰長程商務艙座位是和港龍頭等艙是同型的),但還是打亂了我原本要體驗港龍的計劃啊!

I was very looking forward to sample Dragonair's business class product, but as per CX tradition, we had an equipment swap and the flight turned out to be operated by Cathay Pacific's A330 with its long-haul business class product. It was without doubt a nice upgrade (since Cathay Pacific's long-haul business class seat is identical to Dragonair's first class seat), but I was still sad that my plans were disrupted.

回到熟悉的國泰航空機艙,既然之前已經介紹過,就不用再重複一次了。

Now back to the familiar Cathay Pacific cabin. I had already reviewed the seat once before, so will not repeat myself again here.

這次坐在商務艙第一排,好處是起飛降落時不會看不到螢幕,然後腳凳的空間也稍微大了一些。

I got a seat at the first row of business class this time. Having a bulkhead seat did have some advantages, such as the screen was still comfortably visible during take off and landing, and the ottoman was also slightly larger than a regular seat.

登機之後,按照慣例當然是拿了一杯香檳,隨後空服員也送上了熱毛巾。

As usual, I had a glass of champagne as my welcome drink, and a hot towel was delivered shortly after.

這次不知道是因為國泰執飛的關係,或是這是高雄-香港航線的常態,全程並沒有拿到菜單,反而是起飛之後直接送餐。是我比較意外的地方。

I'm not sure whether it was because this flight was operated by Cathay Pacific, or if it was the norm for Kaohsiung-Hong Kong flights, but no menu was offered during the flight. Instead, to my surprise, the flight attendants just started meal service without it.

當然因為國泰本來就會把主餐選項推出來讓乘客選擇,所以並沒有太大影響,我就直接選了雞肉的主餐。只是搭商務艙沒有拿到菜單,覺得有點奇怪而已。

Of course, a menu wasn't all that necessary since at Cathay Pacific the flight attendants would roll out the meal options. So I just ordered the chicken dish when they rolled it out. It was just a little weird not getting a menu in business class.

餐點其實很簡單,除了主餐之外就只有水果盤跟麵包而已。不過對於實際飛行時間不到一小時的航程來說,能有熱餐就已經很了不起了。

The meal was very simple, with only a fruit plate and bread in addition to the main dish. But the fact that they still offered a hot meal on a flight that was in the air for less than an hour was already amazing.

餐後一樣點了一杯港式奶茶,然後就準備降落香港機場了。

I ordered a cup of Hong Kong milk tea after the meal, and we landed at Hong Kong Airport soon afterwards.
